This is a very good game. I like the upgrades throughout the game, and I especially like how the whole game is one continuous map. Graphics look great too. I didn't think it was "too" short - but the idea could definitely be expanded on for a future game. Nice work.

A decent game.

Pretty impressed with this game overall. I didn't like how the enemies just spawned out of nowhere - it's a scrolling game so they should be able to come in from the top of the screen. Also, a continuous fire option would have been nice, as I found myself holding down the space bar for the entire game. And the menu screens could use some improvement - more than just blank blue backgrounds. But I did like the in-game graphics for the most part, as well as the variation of enemies with each level. You definitely put some work into making each wave different than the one before, and I appreciate that. And the music choice was good (although sound effects would be a nice improvement). Now, in your author comments you say not to review or rate without playing through the entire game. This seems like a lot to ask, seeing as I couldn't even beat level four. But a good game should draw the player in early and give them a good impression from the start. The whole gameplay experience should be enjoyable, not just the final levels or the satisfaction of beating the whole thing. And your game actually does a decent job of this. As a developer, you should never try to avoid or discourage criticism of your work, because without listening to your players, you won't grow as a developer and you'll never get better at making games. The other reviewers have raised some valid points that would really help improve this game. Overall, there's room for improvement but it's a decent game as it is. Nice work.

Wow I'm sorry I haven't replied to this review sooner. I really appreciate this. You are right on everything. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this review.

Impressive

Very well done game, especially for the games factory. Graphics were nice and I really liked the music - did you make it or did someone else? My only complaint would be the camera - but I haven't worked enough in TGF to know if you could even do anything about that. Clearly you put a lot of work into this and I am very impressed with the result. Nice job.

Thanks! I wrote the music myself, and the flip-screen scrolling was a creative decision. I appreciate that it doesn't always work and won't be everyone's cup of tea. Thanks again!

good game

It's a puzzle game with a storyline, don't see that too often. Sucks that someone stole it and got a higher score, a 3.1 on this seems a bit low. Nice music too.

Neat

At first I wasn't sure what I was doing, accidentally picked a high level, and died instantly. But after I figured out what was going on the game was very entertaining. I really like the simplicity of the "shoot everything" gameplay, it reminds me a bit of Super Robot Action Game. It could use some variety (new enemy types, more bonuses) on the later levels to avoid getting too boring, but the one thing I thought the game is really lacking is a high score board. This game definitely has a lot of potential, especially with the appealing art style, music, and retro feel of the whole gaming experience. Nice work.

It's okay

The game looks nice but it's too hard. I found holding the mouse button down all the time to be quite annoying. Otherwise, looks like it could be a good game.

Looks and plays great

Extremely impressive, this game kept me entertained for a long time. The look and feel of the game seems perfect and the music really sets a nice mood for the whole thing. I thought the combat was a lot of fun. Nice work.

Excellent

Perfect use of pixel art. I really like the whole feel of the game with the music and sound effects and everything. Great work.

Great waste of time

Very fun, I kept saying I was about to quit but ended up playing though the whole game. Some of the levels are extremely annoying but overall I really enjoyed this. Enough different and creative levels to keep the game interesting.

Wow

I wasn't sure what to expect from this game. The press-a-button-to-go-up, helicoper-game concept has been used so many times that I thought this one would be boring. However, I was very impressed at the creative twists featured in the game. The idea to use different strengths of gravity was nice, as well as the numerous level designs. I especially liked the level where the hole opened wider with each dot picked up. Couldn't beat the 14th "roller coaster" level though. A minor complaint: after quitting to the menu, I couldn't return to the same level. But overall, excellent game.
